Connor Rickett's site for writing.

I'm Connor Rickett, a professional writer, and Cities of the Mind is my site. Through some loophole in modern civilization that I don't entirely understand, I get to turn words into money for a living--I'd like to look into the anomaly, but, frankly, I'm afraid if I draw attention to it, other people might realize how crazy this is, and I'll have to go back to working in a chemistry lab or something.

Cities of the Mind began as a personal project, and became a business. It's been my sole source of income for several years now, and I'm proud to say so. Writing has been a lifelong passion of mine, and I'm almost always grateful that it's become a job. Not always, mind you: Truth is, whatever your job, some days it feels like a job.

At this point, this site exists as a place for clients to learn more about my services, and a place for me to write about writing for other writers. I've learned a lot over the past few years, some of it the hard way, and I like to help other people learn from my mistakes, and benefit from my good ideas.

Of course, if you'd rather just pay me to fix those mistakes for you, I'm more than happy to accommodate you.
