Back from the Backcountry!
I spent four days solo hiking and camping in Glacier National Park this last week (and a couple driving back). What a trip! My expectations were not low for Glacier, but they were utterly and entirely demolished. I felt, at times, that my eyes must be lying. Surely if I kept walking, I would find a large curtain with CGI mountains projected on it.
A place called the Crown of the Continent could hardly be less than majestic, but it turns out it can be much, much, more.
I’m visiting family in Las Vegas right now, and catching up on work, so it will be a couple days before I get another real feature article up and running, but either Friday or Monday, it’ll happen.
In the meantime, I’ll be preparing for an interview, reviewing the revisions of a book I ghostwrote (theoretically on its way to publishing!), and catching up on all the other work that’s been waiting on the back burner while I’ve been wandering about the wilds.
Thanks for sticking around during this quiet week. Don’t worry, though! I have stories to tell and pictures to share!
