Success in any thing is the continued application of positive habits. Or so I keep telling myself. Otherwise, why am I doing all these push-ups and writing all the time?
Cities of the Mind is moving along.
GoDaddy Garage Podcast
I was recently a guest on the GoDaddy Garage Podcast with Brian Dunn. I got to talk about freelancing, how to do it right, how I’ve done it wrong, and how to Chumbawamba your way through the rough patches.
For those of you who don’t know Brian Dunn, he’s a great writer with a gorgeous, dare I say “elegant”, site of his own, and is one half (with Robert Hoekman Jr.) of the Spillers quarterly writing event here in Phoenix. I’ve been a performer at Spillers once, and a guest on multiple occasions, and it’s great stuff. If you’re in Arizona, consider stopping by the Valley Bar on March 14th to check it out.
Now on Contract w/ the Arizona Department of Education
The Arizona Department of Education is now a client. I work with their Communications Department to create content for their burgeoning blogging and online presence, as well as journalistic and other content as needed.
I’ve worked with them in the past, but recently won a much larger contract through a public bidding process. I’m extremely excited by some of our upcoming projects and opportunities, and, while I obviously can’t share details in advance, will absolutely be pointing them out when they reach completion.
And, also obviously, I’m very excited to count a state agency among my clients.
The Bite Anthology
I’m starting up a monthly e-book anthology. If you’re a writer, you should check it out, and consider submitting to our first issue.
